Emily Thomas

Emily joined TriUnity Law Group as an Associate Attorney in March 2021.  Most recently, Emily served as Assistant Counsel, Contracts at Goldfinch Bio, a biotechnology company focused on discovering and developing precision therapies for patients with kidney disease. Emily joined Goldfinch Bio in January 2018 and partnered with Goldfinch Bio’s CBO/COO and VP, Legal to build Goldfinch’s first legal department.  She led the implementation and rollout of the company’s contract management system and managed the ongoing development of the system and related training.  Emily was directly responsible for negotiating and drafting confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, service agreements, research agreements and other operational and business agreements.  As the only in-house counsel, she also served as the legal liaison between Goldfinch Bio and its intellectual property, data privacy and other outside counsels.  Prior to Goldfinch, Emily also held positions at Biogen, Centerbridge Partners, Heidell, Pittoni, Murphy & Bach and Sofer & Haroun.  Emily earned a juris doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Roger Williams University where she was honored for her academic and athletic achievements as a student athlete (All-Academic Team Honors; Dean’s List; Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society).  Emily is a certified Mediator and is licensed to practice law in New York and Massachusetts.  She also provides pro-bono legal services to artists and small businesses in Massachusetts as a volunteer attorney with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
